Itinerary
Arrival at Athens airport, pick up the car and drive to Nafplio. Have dinner
in one of the local tavern. Overnight.
Enjoy traditional breakfast and take a walk around the picturesque city of Nafplio. In the very heart of the city stands the Italianate Syntagma Square where you can admire important historic buildings and monu-ments. Then climb the hill to the Fortress of Palamidi.
Start your day with breakfast and then take your car and travel back in time. Visit the Ancient theater and the Archaeological museum of Epidaurus. After that we suggest you visit the archaeological site of Mycenae. Mycenae was the most important city in the Greek peninsula during the late years of the Bronze Age and gave its name to one of the most pioneering civilizations of this era: the Mycenaean civilization. Continue visiting Nemea’s wineries to enjoy local wines.Return to Nafplio.
Today you are driving to Sparta – a city filled with history. Broad streets full of trees, large squares, neoclassical buildings, scented by the olive, orange and lemon trees of the nearby valley of the Eurotas River: this is Sparta. Then drive to ancient Mystras to see Byzantine palaces and monasteries. Take the road to the city of Kalamata, enjoy the long promenade on the sea front and spend the night in Kalamata.
Today you can go for River tracking Stenosia to enjoy natural beauty and explore the wild nature – hidden waterfalls, isolated beaches and lonely mountain peaks. Drive to see the Castle of Methoni and Koroni. Methoni and Koroni, two quintessential Greek seaside towns, are home to Venetian castles, countless pristine sandy beaches, and lush landscapes. Return to Kalamata and overnight.
Drive to Ancient Olympia – the most celebrated sacred site of Ancient Greece, «valley of the gods». Return to Kalamata and have a rest. Overnight.
Have a delicious breakfast and drive to Mani region with the picturesque villages like Areopoli, made out of stones. Visit the Caves of Diros – one of the most beautiful caves, nature with incomparable art and patience carved a miracle beyond all imagination.Return to in Kalamata.
