Beaches of Volos
The options are many, either from the Pagasitikos side, or from the most popular ones, from the Aegean side. Whichever beach you sit on, they all have dense vegetation that reaches to the sea and crystal clear blue-green waters.
Museums
In the city of Volos you will find many special museums, starting with the Athanasakeio Archaeological Museum with information from the Paleolithic period to the Roman years, the Museum of Brick and Tile, the Entomological unique in its kind includes 35,000 insects of different classes.
Tsipouro taverns
In Volos you will find over 600 (!) Tsipouro taverns. They are the taverns that serve tsipouro, in individual carafes, in combination with appetizers for every taste. From fresh fish and seafood to other Greek traditional dishes.
The mythical Argo
According to the legend, from here Jason started the Argonaut Campaign for the conquest of the Golden Fleece. A copy of the ship, according to drawings of the 13th century BC, is moored in the port of Volos as well as a sculpted copy.

Meeting point for all the people of Volos, for coffee, food and a walk. Starting from Argo, you will reach the imposing former building of Papastratos and from there to Anavros with the outdoor sculptures.
