The Gateway to India – Energy, Cinema & Cultural Diversity

Mumbai is India’s financial, cultural, and cinematic hub—a city that never sleeps. Known to Indians as the “City of Dreams,” it is bursting with energy and vitality, standing as an emerging destination for any traveler seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The metropolis is home to Bollywood, the UNESCO-listed Elephanta Caves, and the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Its bustling bazaars overflow with colors, textiles, and aromas, while its gastronomy fuses local culinary traditions with extraordinary street food flavors. Mumbai is ideal for travelers who thrive on intensity, stark contrasts, and exploration in all its forms—a destination beating right at the heart of modern India.

    Highlights

    Taj Mahal Palace Hote

Built over a century ago, the Taj Mahal Palace is India's iconic first luxury hotel. Its grand silhouette showcases Renaissance architecture infused with Islamic accents, featuring corner turrets topped with onion domes, pointed arches, and covered balconies.

    Gateway of India

Standing proudly on the shores of the Arabian Sea at the Apollo Bunder waterfront, the Gateway of India is one of Mumbai's most popular and cherished landmarks. The 26-meter basalt arch seamlessly blends the architectural styles of Roman triumphal arches with traditional Hindu and Muslim design motifs.

    Kanheri Caves

While Mumbai may seem like a gleaming, modern city at first glance, it also harbors sights that will leave you in awe. Spend a day at Sanjay Gandhi National Park exploring the Kanheri Caves, an extraordinary monument complex carved directly into basalt rock formations over 2,000 years ago.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya Museum

Visiting the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya Museum is high on the list of top things to do in Mumbai. Explore the museum's extensive permanent collection of 70,000 artifacts, including Indian miniature paintings, Himalayan art, ancient Asian coinage, precious swords, and much more.

Mumbai is a city that sweeps you up in its rhythm. From the glamour of Bollywood to traditional bazaars and a dynamic culinary scene, it blends energy, culture, and authenticity. Ideal for travelers seeking intensity, contrast, and cultural diversity, Mumbai—the monsoon port—thrives through vivid conditions to form an extraordinary collage of contrasts that defines both the character of the city and the spirit of its people.

    Gastronomic Journey in Mumbai

Mumbai is the undisputed street food capital of India. Its culinary scene mirrors its rich multicultural identity. From Hindu thalis and Muslim kebabs to Parsi snacks, every bite tells a story. Street food reigns supreme, with legendary recipes on almost every corner. Mumbai invites you to taste it all—from spicy local specialties to international fine dining on ocean-view rooftops.

    Best Time to Visit Mumbai

Ideally avoid the period from June to September, as it is the monsoon season with heavy rainfall.
Alternatively, choose the period from October to April, keeping in mind that temperatures and humidity levels begin rising as early as March.

    How to Get Around Mumbai

    Airport Transfer Options

Mumbai International Airport (Chhatrapati Shivaji) is one of India’s largest and Asia’s busiest airports. Transportation from the airport to the city center is available via taxis stationed outside the two airport terminals or rental cars. Alternatively, you can use local bus routes or suburban trains, exercising the necessary caution required due to high crowd density.

    Public Transportation

The city is characterized by heavy traffic and frequent gridlock. Navigating via public transportation is considered difficult and time-consuming, so the use of taxis or rental vehicles is ideally recommended. Due to the high volume of traffic on Mumbai’s streets, exercise caution when walking on foot. Similar crowded conditions prevail across the city’s metro system as well.

Dear Ms. Priya, Ms. Zoi and team
    Greetings !
I would like to place on record our sincere appreciation for Ms. Zoi Stefanidou of MAZI Travel & Events, Athens, whom we were introduced to by Ms. Priya Rupani of Marc Asia Representations, Mumbai, India.
What began as our first transaction on 18 June turned into nearly 90 days of continuous coordination. Throughout this period, Ms. Zoi handled every change, amendments, emails, calls and WhatsApp messages with patience and professionalism. Irrespective of the business volume involved, she gave our requirements her full attention and responded whenever we needed assistance.
Her support during the Greece visa process deserves special mention. After our clients' visas were refused on their first application, Ms. Zoi personally assisted with follow-ups with the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi, including calls and emails. MAZI Travel also issued an official supporting letter with their credentials without asking us for any advance or deposit, placing their trust in us despite this being our first transaction.
That support made a real difference. All three visas were subsequently granted. It saved our clients from losing approximately INR 4,34,000 { Euro 47,780} on non-refundable, non-changeable air tickets and, more importantly, allowed them to fulfil their long-awaited dream of visiting Santorini.
The support did not stop once the visas were issued. Ms. Zoi remained in touch with us almost daily during the clients' stay to ensure that transfers and sightseeing arrangements operated smoothly. Her availability gave us the confidence to support our clients from India and deliver the level of service they expected.
Once the visas were granted, we naturally went back to Ms. Zoi and entrusted MAZI Travel with the complete ground arrangements for our clients in Santorini. She offered us excellent rates without compromising on the quality of services or inclusions. All airport transfers, sightseeing and activities were arranged through a reliable local ground operator, giving us confidence that our clients were in good hands.
One incident particularly reflects her commitment. Because of poor phone connectivity, our clients missed calls from the local service provider and were unable to join their scheduled full-day wine tasting tour. Ms. Zoi immediately worked on an alternative and confirmed the tour for the following day without any additional charge. She also arranged an excellent local ground operator for the transfers and sightseeing.
I am taking the time to write this because the professionalism and personal attention shown by Ms. Priya Rupani, Ms. Zoi Stefanidou and Mr. Sri M genuinely deserve recognition. They did not treat this as merely another booking. They stood with us through the visa uncertainty, numerous amendments and the clients' actual travel until the services were completed.
Our experience has given us the confidence not only to continue working with MAZI Travel & Events Group and Marc Asia Representations, but also to recommend them within our travel industry network.
We will gladly promote Greece as a destination and vouch for MAZI Travel & Events Group and Marc Asia Representations among our travel industry colleagues and partners.
Thank you, Ms. Priya, Ms. Zoi and Mr. Sri M, for the trust, patience and professional support extended to us throughout this journey. We look forward to sending many more travellers and groups to Greece together.
    Thanking you,
    Sincerely
    Mahaboobulla Khan - CEO.

Athens 4 days Group Tour from Germany

Thank you very much for the group to Athens! They had a great time. They were very enthusiastic about the trip & guide Jason. he swimming/beach stop after Corinth was a big plus. They enjoyed the nature as addition to the city and culture. Always good to add that when visiting Corinth.

The location of the hotel was very good, so a bus transfer in the evening was not always necessary. They could have easily come back via the metro to the hotel. That would have saved us real money.

Thanks again and looking forward to all the coming groups!

    Αthens, Santorini and Corfu
My Kids and I loved the trip except for our lost baggage from the Aegean airlines upon arrival at Athens at the start of the trip.Loved all the sightseeing. Tour guides and Pick up services were awesome!! Tour guides were very knowledgeable in their area and history of the city and my kids and I loved that. They answered all our questions. Pick up services were always on time.I just wish I had a little more time in Corfu to do the boat tour as I had planned. Wasn’t able to accomplish that. Loved the wine tasting, Oia and Fira in Santorini. Thank You so much for helping me plan this trip. Great memories made on this trip!!Savita
