Culinary journey to Serifos
Serifos offers authentic flavors of Cycladic cuisine, full of aromas and tastes based on local products. It’s hard to know where to start: pork louzes (traditional cured meat), sausages and syglina seasoned with fragrant spices, fennel pies and fennel fritters, revithada (chickpea stew) with raisins, sun-dried octopus, local cheeses, myzithra, and xinomyzithra. All of these are accompanied by local, sweet-drinking wine. Finally, do not forget to taste the famous Serifian pasteli (honey and sesame bar) and traditional spoon sweets.

How to get around Serifos
Transportation options to/from the airport
The island is not connected by air to the mainland, as it does not have an airport. However, you can fly to the airports of Milos or Paros and then take a ferry to the island.
By sea, Serifos is connected to the port of Piraeus, with frequent routes during the summer season, as well as to the surrounding islands.
Public Transportation
To get around the interior of Serifos, there are buses that run routes from Livadi to Chora and the other settlements. It is advisable to have your own car to explore the island’s hidden corners. Alternatively, you can rent one there or get around by taxi.
