Moscow has 4 airports. Sheremetyevo International Airport is the 2nd largest airport in Russia after Domodedovo International Airport, and together with Vnukovo, they complete the triplet of airports serving Moscow. You can travel by air to Moscow from Thessaloniki and Athens. Transportation to the city center is provided by public transit. A) Sheremetyevo is located 28 km NW of Moscow and 11 km from the ring road toward the city center. At Terminals B, C, and F, taxis are available heading toward the city. Buses 851C (express) and 851, 817, 948, 949, and 200M run transfers from the terminals to the metro. The Aeroexpress train connects the airport with Belorussky Railway Station. B) From Domodedovo, the Aeroexpress express train connects the airport directly to the metro with no intermediate stops (40 min, 320 rubles). Express buses depart every 15 minutes.
Public Transport
Moscow possesses an excellent public transport network. You can move around using buses, trolleybuses, trams, and even taxis (with agreed-upon upfront fares), while traveling by metro turns out to be an unforgettable experience.
