Koroni Castle
A large part of the castle is occupied by the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos. You can enter through the castle's impressive Gothic entrance. The small cape beyond the castle is a peaceful place for a walk, offering wonderful views of the gulf.
Monastery of Agios Ioannis
Inside the castle, we also find the Old Calendarist convent of Agios Ioannis, which was built in 1918. The monastery was founded in 1918 by the monk Theodoulos, who lived and acted there as an ascetic. While on the grounds, you can also visit the Church of Agia Sophia and the caves of the monastery.
Beaches of Koroni
The town's main beach is Zaga Beach, with its golden sand. A bit further along, you will find Memi Beach, where Caretta caretta sea turtles return every year after May to lay their eggs. Other beaches include Peroulia, Ammoudi, and Kalamaki, as well as Agios Nikolaos and Kryoneri.

Daily KTEL bus routes run regularly from Athens, Thessaloniki, and Patras to Kalamata, with connecting buses to Koroni. Alternatively, you can arrive by air via Kalamata International Airport and then continue by road (via rental car, taxi, or KTEL bus) to Koroni.
