Itinerary
Arrival at Athens Airport – transfer to the hotel – accommodation in Athens and overnight at the hotel.
Visit the site of Acropolis and take a panoramic tour of the area by bus. You will discover the center of the city, Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Parliament and neoclassical buildings in Avenue Venizelos (the Academy, the University and the National Library). On the way to the Acropolis you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and then you will see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of our time were held in 1896 (short stop). In the Acropolis you can admire the masterpieces of the golden era of Ath-ens, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and finally “the harmony between spirit and matter”, the Parthenon. Then you will visit the impres-sive sculptures, which adorned the temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion (with the Caryatids). Back to hotel – Free afternoon – Transfer to the port for of Pireaus to take the Ferry to Heraklion.
Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Heraklion Guided tour visit the Minoan antiquities museum, one of the most important in Greece, a necessary step to understand archaeological sites on the island. The museum holds the Snake Goddess and the Phaistos Disc, famous statuettes discovered at Knossos. Visit the archaeological site of the Palace of Knossos, the most important site of the Minoan civilization. Back to Heraklion. Dinner and overnight in Heraklion.
Breakfast and departure for Spinalonga Island. Depart for Elounda and board for a crossing in the Gulf of Mirabello to the island of Spinalonga. Return to Agios Nikolaos (short stop). You can visit a garden with Cretan therapeutic plants and flowers. Dinner and overnight in Heraklion.
After breakfast, depart with our luggage for the city of Chania. On the way, stop in Rethymnon. City tour. Lunch in the old harbor. Visit the fortress guarding the old harbor and the minarets dating from the Turkish occupation of the island. Accommodation in Chania.
After breakfast, depart for Sfakia. There you can admire the views of the Libyan Sea. We will taste the famous sfakiani pita and we drink our coffee on site. In the evening we offer a nice walk in the old town of Chania. Lunch during visits. Dinner and overnight in the vicinity of Chania.
Breakfast at the hotel. Chania, visits (Archaeological Museum, Venetian harbor and old town). Lunch during visits. Dinner lunch box. Boarding for Piraeus four berths in cabins with bathroom.
Departure flight. Arrival in Athens and transfer to the airport of Athens for the flight back home.
