After breakfast, departure for the Palace of Knossos, Crete’s most emblematic archaeological site and the heart of the Minoan civilization.

The guided visit presents the palace complex, the royal chambers, storage areas, ceremonial spaces and the myths connected with King Minos, the Labyrinth and the Minotaur.

The program continues with a guided visit to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, home to one of the world’s most important collections of Minoan artifacts. This visit gives the group a deeper understanding of the history, art and daily life of ancient Crete.

Afternoon at leisure in Heraklion for a walk, shopping, coffee or optional gastronomic experience.

Overnight: Heraklion

Today’s excursion explores the elegant eastern side of Crete.

The group travels by private coach to Agios Nikolaos, a charming seaside town known for Lake Voulismeni, its lively waterfront and relaxed atmosphere. Time will be given for a short walk, photos and coffee.

The journey continues to Elounda or Plaka, where the group boards a boat to Spinalonga Island. The guided visit introduces the island’s Venetian fortifications, strategic importance and later history as one of Greece’s former leper colonies.

After the visit, free time for optional lunch in the Elounda or Plaka area, where guests may enjoy fresh seafood and local Cretan dishes by the sea.

Return to Heraklion in the afternoon.

Overnight: Heraklion

After breakfast, check-out and departure towards Rethymno.

The first stop is Arkadi Monastery, one of Crete’s most symbolic historical monuments. The guide will present the monastery’s architecture, spiritual importance and role in Cretan history.

The tour continues to Margarites, a traditional village known for its pottery heritage. The group may visit a local pottery workshop and experience one of Crete’s living craft traditions.

Arrival in Rethymno and hotel check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walking tour of the old town, including the Venetian harbor, Fortezza, narrow streets, fountains and historic buildings reflecting both Venetian and Ottoman influences.

Optional dinner can be arranged in the old town, offering traditional Cretan flavors in a historic setting.

Overnight: Rethymno

After breakfast, departure for Chania.

On the way, the group stops at Lake Kournas, Crete’s best-known natural freshwater lake. The location offers a calm natural setting, ideal for a short walk, photos and relaxation.

Continue to Chania and check-in at the hotel. Later, enjoy a guided walking tour of Chania’s old town, one of the most atmospheric historic centers in Greece.

The visit includes the Venetian harbor, the lighthouse, the old town alleys, the Splantzia district and the city’s Venetian and Ottoman architectural elements.

Evening at leisure. Optional dinner at a local restaurant or traditional tavern can be arranged.

Overnight: Chania

After breakfast, departure for a full-day excursion to Elafonissi, one of Crete’s most famous coastal landscapes.

The route crosses the countryside of western Crete, passing through villages, gorges and scenic mountain areas. During the journey, the guide introduces the group to the region’s nature, local lifestyle and traditions.

Upon arrival, free time to enjoy Elafonissi’s shallow turquoise waters, natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere.

Depending on the route and timing, an optional stop can be arranged for lunch in a local village, offering simple and authentic Cretan cuisine.

Return to Chania in the afternoon.

Overnight: Chania

After breakfast, departure to Kissamos, where the group boards a boat for the excursion to Gramvousa and Balos, subject to weather and sailing conditions.

The first visit is Gramvousa, known for its Venetian fortress and impressive views. Guests may walk up to the fortress or enjoy free time near the beach.

The tour continues to Balos Lagoon, one of Crete’s most iconic natural sites, famous for its shallow waters, dramatic scenery and unique colors.

Return by boat to Kissamos and transfer back to Chania by private coach.

Farewell dinner can be arranged in Chania, with Cretan specialties, local wine and a warm group atmosphere.

Breakfast and check-out.

Depending on departure time, free time may be offered in Chania for a final walk or last-minute shopping.

Transfer to Chania airport/port. If departure is from Heraklion, transfer by coach to Heraklion.
