Itinerary
Arrival in Thessaloniki and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and some time to relax, begin your first introduction to the city with a walk along the seafront promenade. Thessaloniki offers a distinctive atmosphere, combining wide waterfront views, lively neighborhoods and a strong cultural identity shaped by centuries of history.
In the evening, enjoy dinner in the city center or in the vibrant Ladadika district, where local gastronomy and the cityās social energy come together beautifully. Overnight in Thessaloniki.
Today is dedicated to the cityās highlights. Discover the White Tower, Thessalonikiās best-known landmark, and continue exploring the historic center, where Byzantine heritage, elegant squares and lively streets create a fascinating urban landscape.
Later, head to Ano Poli, the Upper Town, one of the cityās most atmospheric areas. Its narrow alleys, traditional houses and panoramic views reveal a more nostalgic and authentic side of Thessaloniki. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing time for shopping, coffee or a relaxed dinner by the sea.
After breakfast, depart for Zagori. As the journey moves westward into Epirus, the scenery gradually shifts from city and plains to mountain landscapes, forests and traditional villages.
Upon arrival in Zagori, check in at your hotel in one of the regionās charming villages, such as Monodendri, Aristi or Papigo. The rest of the day is dedicated to a gentle introduction to the area. Today the journey continues towards Papigo, one of Zagoriās most beloved and photogenic villages. Built of local stone and framed by dramatic mountain scenery, Papigo captures the essence of the regionās timeless beauty.
The route itself is part of the experience, with scenic drives, rivers, forests and traditional settlements creating a deeply rewarding day. Time can be spent walking through the village, enjoying the mountain atmosphere and discovering the regionās architectural and natural charm.
Today focuses on another side of Zagori, where village life, nature and the rivers of Epirus come together. Aristi offers a refined and peaceful setting, while the wider area around the Voidomatis River adds an even more natural dimension to the journey.
This is a day designed around slower discovery: beautiful landscapes, village atmosphere, local flavors and the quiet sense of place that defines Zagori. Depending on the travel style, the day may include scenic stops, light walking or simply time to enjoy the authenticity of the region.
After breakfast, depart from Zagori and return to Thessaloniki for the final overnight stay. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
