Itinerary
Arrive at Thessaloniki airport, pick up your car and drive to Katerini, a city located near the foothills of the mythical mountain of Olympus and enjoy the modern city with dinner in one of the traditional taverns. Spend the night in a 5-star hotel.
Start your day with a nice Greek breakfast in Katerini and then optionally have a trip to the historical place of Vergina to see the ancient tombs of Macedonians kings. After that, continue the trip and have a coffee break with a view to the Aliakmonas river. Continue to the nice city of Veria andenjoy your lunch in a traditional taverns. Don’t forget to try Revani, the traditional cake of the region. Return to Katerini and enjoy the colorful city by night. Overnight.
Start your day with a nice traditional breakfast in Katerini then we suggest you visit the mythical mountain of Olympus for hiking or trekking (optional) to explore the magnificent and wild nature of the region where the ancient Greek Gods used to live. On your way back do not forget to make a stop in Litochoro, a village on the foothills of the mountain with amazing views and enjoy incredible locally produced food in one of the taverns there. Return to the hotel for the night.
Start your day with a nice breakfast and then drive to the picturesque Byzantine castle of Platamonas a few minutes drive from Katerini and learn about Greek history then you can visit one of the nice wineries of the region and taste locally produced wine. Return to Katerini and enjoy the modern city by night.
Return to Thessaloniki airport for your departure.
