Itinerary
Arrival at Athens airport, pick up the car and drive to Nafpaktos. Make a stop along the way in the historical city of Delphi. We suggest visiting the archaeological site and the Archaeological Museum of Delphi. After that drive to the city of Nafpaktos, enjoy dinner in one of the local taverns and spend the night in a 3-star hotel.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast in Nafpaktos, a coastal town in Western Greece with rich history. After that we suggest exploring this region through different activities – hiking in the mountainous Nafpaktia or Rafting on the Evinos River. Hiking in the trails of Oreini Nafpaktia, in a forest with Firs, Oak and Chestnuts. At the end of the route you can enjoy local cuisine in the traditional taverns of Ano Chora. On the other hand, descending a river with an inflatable boat is a very fun and memorable experience. Evinos River is undoubtedly the most popular destination for rafting. After that return to the hotel in Nafpakto, overnight.
Have breakfast and then we suggest going to Messolonghi. It’s built between the lagoon of Messolonghi and the one of Kleisova at the estuary of Evinos and Acheloos river. The name of the town is a combination of Italian words mezzo and langhi (Mezzolanghi) or messo langhi (Messolanghi) meaning «town between two lakes”. Visit the Messolonghi-Etoliko lagoon – the largest in Greece and one of the largest in the Mediterranean. A water park, in the harmonic coexistence of rare flora and fauna that perch and reproduce many rare species of migratory birds and fish.Don’t miss to visit the islet of Tourlida which is located in the lagoon of Messolonghi, 5 km from the main town, within a natural setting of unique beauty and environmental significance. The island offers an amazing sunset view and a visit in the afternoon is a must. Then return to the hotel in Nafpakto, overnight.
Start your morning early, have a local breakfast and then we suggest going to Lefkada. Lefkada is the island’s capital and port town. There are picturesque alleys, small squares, traditional houses, elaborate belfries and paved pedestrian zones that give this town its character. The best way to take in the beautiful landscapes and views of Lefkada is when you explore the island by foot, hiking through olive groves and through beautiful untouched nature. Feel the atmosphere of authentic Greece. Return to the hotel in Nafpaktos. Overnight
