Arrival at Thessaloniki airport, pick up the car and drive to Florina. SpendĀ the evening in this cozy town and enjoy traditional food. The Florina areaĀ offers a wide range of local products such as Florina peppers, mountainĀ tea, variety of cheeses, pond fish, potatoes and mushrooms of the area,Ā accompanied by tsipouro and fine wines of Amyntaio. Stay at The LynxĀ Mountain Resort 5-star in Florina.
Take a breakfast with traditional pastries in Florina and we suggest immersing yourself in the historical atmosphere by visiting the Archaeological Museum of Florina and then walking around the town to see ancient churches and monasteries. Get to know the local cuisine through lunch in one of the traditional taverns of the city. Overnight.
Start the day with local breakfast in Florina and then we suggest going on horse walking on Western Style Ranch. You will be close to beautiful nature and enjoy it to the fullest. Another suggestion is hiking at the Shelter Oropediou area or visit the Alpha winery and enjoy local wines. In the evening you have free time to enjoy delicious food and walk along the river Sakuleva and see up close the beautiful mansions of neoclassical and Macedonian architecture. Overnight.
Start the day with a nice breakfast in the city and then we suggest visiting Prespa lakes national park for hiking and enjoy magnificent natural views of the lakes as well as ancient ruins of Byzantine church and then enjoy your lunch with a beautiful view in a traditional tavern at Psarades or Small Prespa and the return to Florina. Enjoy your breakfast and then drive to Nymfaio – the village, which according to UNESCO is among the 10 most picturesque villages in Europe. This fascinating village with stone built houses, surrounded by a breathtaking beech forest, looks like it just came out of a fairytale book. We suggest visiting Arcturos Bear Sanctuary to see the wildlife of the region. Then drive to Kastoria,visit Doltso area and have dinner in a local tavern. Overnight stay at a 5* hotel in Kastoria.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast and then take a stroll on the narrow pathway along the lakeās coast. We suggest visiting the Folklore Museum of Kastoria and also visit the Aquarium of Kastoria with fishes and organisms from the fresh waters of Greece. Donāt miss a visit to Dispilio Village, the prehistoric lake settlement to see how the first citizens of the lake lived and created their house Its a unique settlement in Greece and the second in Europe. Then with the car you can go around the lake and find the perfect place for a picnic to enjoy nature. After your break you can return to Kastoria and plunge into the evening atmosphere of the city with its lights and beautiful views. Be sure to enjoy the magical sunset against the backdrop of the lake while tasting the local cuisine in one of the taverns. Overnight.
