Legend of the Seas Cruise Ship
Royal Caribbean is opening a new chapter in exceptional family holidays with the unveiling of Legend of the Seas, the third ship in its groundbreaking Icon Class. Bringing together the unrivalled combination of experiences that defines this revolutionary class, the ship will make its major Caribbean debut in November 2026, offering Western and Southern Caribbean getaways from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, following a season of summer sailings in Europe in 2026.
From November 2026, Legend of the Seas will sail year-round from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, offering 6-night Western Caribbean cruises and 8-night Southern Caribbean itineraries, including visits to the award-winning Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas. Before its official Caribbean debut, Legend will operate 7-night summer cruises in the Western Mediterranean from Barcelona, beginning in July 2026.
During the summer season, travellers will have the opportunity to discover outstanding European destinations across France, Italy and Spain, combining historic landmarks, spectacular scenery and sun-drenched beaches. In winter, Legend of the Seas will explore the Western and Southern Caribbean, calling at remarkable destinations such as Oranjestad in Aruba, the beautiful shores of Falmouth in Jamaica and the culturally rich city of Willemstad in Curaçao.
Legend of the Seas is being built in Turku, Finland, and represents the next chapter in world-class family cruising. As the third ship in the Icon Class, it will introduce even more extraordinary experiences inspired by those first unveiled aboard Icon of the Seas and continued aboard Star of the Seas, which debuted from Port Canaveral, Florida, in August 2025.
Guests can look forward to an extraordinary world of entertainment, adventure and relaxation across eight distinct neighbourhoods, more than 40 dining and drinking venues, adrenaline-filled attractions, relaxing spaces and countless experiences designed for guests of all ages.
Among the standout attractions is Crown’s Edge, an exhilarating combination of aerial walkway, ropes course and adventure experience, as well as Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea. Guests looking to unwind can choose from seven pools, including Royal Bay, the largest pool at sea, Swim & Tonic with its swim-up bar, and The Hideaway, an adults-only retreat featuring a spectacular infinity pool suspended high above the ocean.
Families can enjoy Surfside, a neighbourhood specifically designed with young children and their families in mind, as well as the Ultimate Family Townhouse, a three-storey residence featuring creatively redesigned spaces and entertainment for the entire family.
Legend of the Seas will also be Royal Caribbean’s fourth ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). It will feature advanced environmental technologies, including waste heat recovery systems and shore power connectivity, supporting Royal Caribbean Group’s goal of introducing a net-zero cruise ship by 2035.
