As the ferry enters the port, you’re greeted by the beautiful Town (Chora) with its cobbled alleys, whitewashed courtyards, and charming Cycladic houses. Skiathos is the most cosmopolitan island of the Northern Sporades, home to over 60 stunning beaches, including the famous Koukounaries. The island combines a lively nightlife scene with lush nature, dense forests, and historical landmarks. Skiathos Town, with its bohemian style and traditional homes, radiates authenticity and vibrancy. It’s also the birthplace of Alexandros Papadiamantis, one of Greece’s greatest writers, and his spirit lives on across the island.
