How to Get Around Rhodes
Airport Transfer Options
You can travel to Rhodes either by plane from Athens (flight duration approx. 55 minutes) or from Thessaloniki (approx. 1 hour and 10 minutes), or by ferry from the port of Piraeus (approx. 12 hours). There are daily ferry connections throughout the year, as well as links with the surrounding islands.
The airport is located just 4 km from Rhodes Town. Access to and from the airport is available by public bus, taxi, or rental car.
Public Trasport
To get around the island of Rhodes, it is recommended to have your own private vehicle, as it offers greater flexibility. However, if this is not possible, there are local bus services connecting the main areas of the island. Alternatively, you can rent a car on the island or use taxis for your transportation.
